Terms of use
Effective 7 September 2026.
eRegister Pilot Evaluation is an internal application operated by CodeAstra for the eRegister pilot in Salem Division, Southern Railway. These terms govern its use. By signing in, you accept them.
Access is by authorisation, not by sign-up
There is no public registration. An administrator creates an account for a named member of the project team, and access lasts only as long as that person is working on the pilot. Accounts are personal: sign in only with your own Google account, and do not let anyone else work under it. If you believe someone else has used it, say so at hi@codeastra.com.
CodeAstra may suspend or withdraw access at any time — most often simply because someone's involvement in the pilot has ended.
What the application is for
Recording field evidence, Station Master feedback and issue resolution for the pilot, and compiling the evaluation from them. Use it for that and nothing else. In particular:
- Record what happened, not what you expected to happen. The evaluation is only defensible if its evidence is. Do not enter observations you did not make, feedback you were not given, or figures you did not read.
- Check in where you actually are. A check-in captures your location so that it is evidence of a visit. Do not attempt to falsify it.
- Keep attachments to what the evidence needs. Do not upload personal or sensitive operational information, and do not photograph people who have not agreed to it.
- Treat what you read as confidential. The records include named individuals' feedback about their own workplace. Do not copy them out of the application or discuss them outside the project team.
What you must not do
- Attempt to reach records your role does not give you, or to work around access controls.
- Interfere with the application's operation, or probe it for weaknesses without written permission.
- Upload anything malicious, unlawful, or infringing someone else's rights.
- Use the application, or anything taken from it, for any purpose other than the pilot.
The records belong to the pilot
Records you enter are made in the course of the project and belong to CodeAstra and Salem Division, Southern Railway, who may use them in the evaluation report and in decisions that follow from it. The application, its design and its source code remain CodeAstra's.
Changes are attributed and logged. An entry you make is a record of your work, and it stays attributed to you.
Availability
This is pilot software, run for the length of a pilot. There is no uptime commitment, no guarantee that a given feature will stay unchanged, and maintenance may take it offline without notice. If it is down when you need it, record what you observed on paper and enter it afterwards — the evaluation depends on the observation, not on the application being available at that moment.
No warranty, and the limits of our liability
The application is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. CodeAstra does not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that every record in it is accurate — records are entered by people, and the audit log exists precisely because people make mistakes.
To the extent the law allows, CodeAstra is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the application. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Privacy
What the application records about you, and about the people the pilot is about, is set out in the privacy notice. It forms part of these terms.
Ending access
You may ask for your account to be closed at any time. CodeAstra may close it when your involvement in the pilot ends, or if these terms are broken. In either case the records you created stay in the evaluation, still attributed to you — removing them would leave the report's conclusions unsupported.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Hyderabad, Telangana have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
Changes
If these terms change, the effective date at the top changes with it, and users are told directly. Continuing to use the application after that means accepting the change.
